About the SSA and SSA YEG
The Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) is a prominent trade organization representing the interests of Singapore's maritime community. Established in 1985, the SSA promotes the nation's maritime industry by advocating for policies that enhance Singapore's status as a leading international maritime centre. The association represents 400 shipping-related companies in Singapore, and engages with various stakeholders, including government agencies, international bodies, and the local shipping community, to address challenges and opportunities in the sector. Through its initiatives, the SSA aims to foster innovation, safety, and environmental sustainability while supporting the growth and competitiveness of Singapore's shipping industry.
The Singapore Shipping Association Young Executives Group (SSA YEG) is a dynamic arm of the Singapore Shipping Association, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders within the maritime industry. The SSA YEG aims to empower young executives (below the age of 45) with the knowledge and skills necessary to drive innovation and sustainability in the shipping industry.
