The In-Between: A Meetup for People Between Roles
You're not your job title. Which is convenient, because right now you might not have one.
Layoffs, endings, sabbaticals, walk-aways. Whatever brought you here, you're in the in-between. And the Bay Area is a strange place to be in it: everyone around you seems busy, every conversation starts with "so what do you do?", and LinkedIn is a haunted house.
This is a hang for people in the gap. Not a networking event. Not a job fair. Not a seminar with a funnel at the end. Just a room of smart people in the same weird season, having actual conversations.
What this is:
A place where "I'm between things" is a complete answer
Conversations that don't start with what you do for work
People who get it, because they're in it too
Coffee, snacks, and zero agenda
What this is not:
No recruiters, no career coaches selling programs, no MLM energy
No pitching, no "let me pick your brain"
Nobody's collecting your email for a newsletter
One rule: don't ask "what do you do?" Ask what someone's into lately, what they're cooking, what they'd do with a free year. Better conversations, promise.
Agenda (loosely):
3:00 PM: Doors open, coffee
3:30 PM: One optional round: name, and one good thing from your week. That's it
3:45 PM: Hang out
6:00 PM: Wind down
Who's this for:
Anyone in the Bay Area between roles, on a break, recently ended something, or thinking about leaving something. Tech, non-tech, doesn't matter. If the in-between resonates, you're in the right place.
