Solstice Hike with Seattle WAC Community
Join us for a Solstice Hike to celebrate the end of spring and beginning of summer! 🌼🌞✨We’ll spend the morning and early afternoon amongst the trees and bees, getting some joyful movement in. Meet at the trailhead at 10am, dress for sun or rain, and bring plenty of water and snacks. Option to stop for for a late lunch at Twede's Cafe on the drive back to refuel!
Who is invited? This event is for those identifying as women or nonbinary. We occasionally have events for other friends and allies so if that is not how you identify, stay tuned for future events.
Transportation: Trailhead parking is always a question so we highly encourage carpooling! Let us know if you would be interested in either being a driver or a passenger. NOTE: Northwest Forest Pass is required for parking. Day ($5) and annual ($30) passes can be purchased ahead of time here.
Important Information: Hike will happen rain or shine, so dress for the weather! Trailhead will be posted no later than three weeks ahead of the event date so we can all plan accordingly.
Land Acknowledgement: We acknowledge that we will be recreating on the traditional land of the Coast Salish and Columbia Plateau Peoples; past, present and future. We honor with gratitude the land itself and the people who have cared for it since time immemorial.
About Seattle Women and Climate Community (SWACC): We are a local group of climate-minded organizers (formerly affiliated with Women and Climate), who bring women and non-binary climate-curious individuals together to build relationships, network, learn, take action and have fun in the greater Seattle area. Our community has grown a lot in the last 2+ years, and we now organize independently of the global WAC City Lead program. Sign up for our Seattle community newsletter here.
