​We confirm tickets in groups of 4 from the waitlist. The earlier you join, the higher your priority when we compose tables. In case a table isn't yet full, waitlisted players are standbys. If a seat frees up, we will contact you!

​While on waitlist, Luma places a payment hold on your card. Holds automatically release if no tables are available. You are only charged when seat is confirmed.

​MahPoints track point transfers from hand to hand. A leaderboard will publish standings. You can check your stats on personal progress tracker anytime.

​MahPoints plays traditional Hong Kong-style mahjong, with 3 faans minimum, flowers, dealers, limit hands and the familiar hand-completion rules.

​There's a difference between faans and points.

​Points are the crown of the game: faans determine the value of a hand, while points determine the outcome.

​We do not shorten your game to fit a timeframe, nor reduce it to faan-only format. Every time you attend, you continue from where you left off.

​Full rules and scoring details will be provided before play.

​Arrive & check in
Check in, take your seat, and place your dim sum order — included with your ticket.

​Play the full game
A scribe logs each hand and transfers points as you play. Enjoy your dim sum without stopping the game.

​Tea & additional orders
Unlimited tea is included. You are welcomed to purchase additional food and drinks.

​Skill-aware tables
We endeavour to organize tables by experience and, as the league develops, by ELO. Let us know whether you prefer Swift or Zen pace in your MahPoints profile, and we'll do our best to accommodate.

​Points + ELO
Your results carry forward from session to session, with your progress recorded in your personal tracker.

​Open play for experienced players who are comfortable playing Hong Kong-style mahjong with faans and points.
Ticket comes with your choice of dim sum, and unlimited tea.

​Regular: $35
Founding player (limited seats): $30 with access code

​🎟️ Apprentice ticket

​For players who know the fundamentals of faans and points but want more practice. An instructor is nearby to answer questions, help with scoring and support your development.
Ticket comes with your choice of dim sum, and unlimited tea.

​Regular: $40
Founding player (limited seats): $35 with access code

​🪑 Seating

​MahPoints uses your experience level and playing preferences to build compatible tables. Seating is organized on a best-effort basis. Earlier registrations receives priority when accommodating preferences.

​Standard and Apprentice players play on separate tables, subject to final mix of registrants.

​If 4 of you want to sit together, let us know as soon as you receive your tickets.

​Important Information

​🚫 No Gambling. No Bets. All forms of gambling are strictly prohibited.
🚫 No food nor drinks on mahjong table tops. Please help keep equipment clean. In case of any equipment damages, you agree to pay for replacement.

​📜 Code of Conduct
MahPoints is a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive community. Harassment, discrimination, cheating, intimidation or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

​Refunds & Cancellations
⛔ Late arrivals or cancellations impact an entire table. Please treat your registration as a commitment to your table.

​Tickets may be transfered to another player, provided they meet the requirements for your division. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change.

​Cancellations made at least 2 days before the event are eligible for a refund, less applicable processing fees. If your cancelation causes a table to dissovle, you will bear the fees for 4 cancelations. Within 2 days of event, tickets are non-refundable.

​No-shows are not eligible for refunds or credits.

​Rules
The official MahPoints rules and scoring sheet provided for the event govern play. Players are expected to follow organizer instructions and venue rules.

​Photography
Photography and video may take place during events for promotional and social-media purposes. Please let the organizer know if you do not wish to be photographed.
