I'm glad you're here
"I'm glad you're here" is a community offering / paint night for folks who want to come together, be creative, and connect in honor of suicide awareness month. We center queer and trans people but allies are welcome too :)
Where: A music / artist studio in downtown Oakland with high ceilings, beautiful windows, grand piano .. just real nice. Location will be sent out to attendees. 4 min walk from 12 st. Bart
Who we are: We are a bunch of QT artists + community organizers + death workers, some of who have lived experience with suicidality. Making art / being creative has really helped us in our own journeys with living and dying - we simply hope to share this medicine and our love with other people who feel the same.
** We are not licensed mental health professionals. We are also not mandated reporters.
** We are anti-carceral + anti-institutionalization
