A hands-on working session for ambitious founders.
Your intellectual property is one of your company's most valuable assets - but many startups don't know where to begin.
In this interactive 2.5-hour workshop, you'll build the first version of your own Foundational IP Strategy alongside experienced facilitators from ElevateIP Alberta and a team of expert IP Coaches.
Rather than sitting through another presentation, you'll actively work through each section of the strategy in real time. After a brief introduction to each component, you'll complete your strategy with guidance from our facilitators before receiving personalized feedback from IP Professionals who can help strengthen your thinking and identify opportunities you may have overlooked. Our goal is to have a ratio of 1 IP Professional per 5 Lab Participants, but ratios may vary based on attendance.
By the end of the session, you'll leave with a completed Foundational IP Strategy - a practical roadmap that can help you make smarter business decisions, prioritize your IP investments, and better position your company for growth, investment, and commercialization. The Foundational IP Strategy is also a required document to apply for ElevateIP Alberta program funding - so if you plan on applying - you'll be ready to go!
