How Trauma Responses Shape Female Leadership
Lead from presence, not protection.
Event Description
Format: Experiential learning combining embodiment practices, psychoeducation, self-reflection, and peer connection
Female founders and leaders face unique pressures: raising capital in male-dominated spaces, proving credibility repeatedly, managing teams while managing expectations, making high-stakes decisions under constant scrutiny.
They lead with brilliance, vision, and heart — yet find themselves repeating patterns that feel out of alignment, such as:
• The founder who micromanages everything because delegation feels dangerous
• The leader who stays perpetually busy to avoid difficult conversations
• The executive who freezes during crucial presentations
• The entrepreneur who says yes to everyone and resents the impossible workload
If you have recognized yourself in one of the above situations, know that these aren't character flaws—they are trauma responses, survival strategies the nervous system developed—and they're costing you clarity, confidence, and connection with your team.
Most leadership programs focus on strategy and mindset. This workshop goes deeper—how to recognize trauma responses in real-time and regulate the nervous system so leaders can lead from authentic presence, not protective reactivity—and create clarity, psychological safety, and make grounded decisions.
It's not a theory. This is an embodied, practice‑based approach.
By the end of this workshop, you will:
✓ Recognize the four primary trauma responses (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) and how they show up in your leadership style
✓ Understand how your nervous system state influences decision-making, communication, and team dynamics, and how to foster a trauma-informed workplace
✓ Practical embodied regulation techniques you can use immediately in high-pressure situations
✓ Experience what grounded, regulated presence feels like in your body—and how it changes your leadership

Facilitator/Speaker Bio
Maja Todorovic holds a PhD in Organizational Sciences and is a former university professor turned trauma-informed, embodied leadership coach. Seven years ago, a traumatic brain injury collapsed her nervous system, forcing her to rebuild from the ground up. This journey—combined with her scientific expertise and certifications in embodiment coaching—laid the foundation for her transformative work today. She supports female leaders navigating post-traumatic growth to develop somatic intelligence and lead from regulated presence rather than survival patterns.
"You can't think your way into better leadership. You have to regulate your way there."
