Long Way Home: The Next Chapter

​I'm moving to Spain! There comes a time when you can no longer resist the strong current of change. There’s no more holding back the tide, but rather it’s time to allow it to carry me off on a new adventure. The past four years I’ve embarked on seasons of travel to far away places, I’ve called the Long Way Home trips. A switch flipped on me during those travels as I realized how vast the world is and how much there is to explore. Not just of the world, but of myself. The Long Way Home is about taking a detour, getting lost, getting out of our comfort zone, befriending strangers, following curiosity, and making room for chance and spontaneity. It's realizing that it's about the people we meet along the way and the experiences we go through, are what give life it's color (ahem you are one of those people)

​Now, after four years of being a part-time nomad, I’ve decided to let this energy guide me to a new home base….Valencia, Spain. If you know me, you are probably not surprised in the slightest. In its essence, it feels like an inevitable adventure.

​Would love to invite you to join in on this Long Way Home party. I don’t want to call it a “going away” or a “farewell”, because it doesn’t feel that way. Consider it an invitation to think about how the magic of life doesn’t happen when we take shortcuts, it happens when we take a chance and take the long way home. Whatever home means to us.

​Also if you know me you know how bad I am at planning (pure spontaneity over here), which is why I am sending out this invite now!! However, I have no clue where I will host this little gathering. Maybe Barton Springs... maybe Zilker... maybe both. So hold on to your hats stay tuned for actual details of where this will take place. For now, just mark July 25th from 2pm onward for a little Long Way Home action.
