Elsie Research Mixer
We created this mixer for 3 reasons:
🧪 Research networking is often confined to formal environments 👉 conferences, seminars, or project showcases where only a select few present. For attendees, these spaces can easily become more about listening than connecting.
🔬Research careers are often segmented into distinct paths 👉 industry, academia, public sector, freelance. In reality, skills transfer and ideas travel. Meaningful progress often depends on collaboration across these divides.
🧬 Over the past year through Elsie 👉 I've shared hundreds of research opportunities from across the globe. I noticed a fair bit of duplicated projects, life-changing studies that could've used more visibility, and people in the sector who should meet.
Co-created and co-hosted with (BELOVED) Elsie members Tristin Agtarap, PhD Hannah McCulloch, this session has no speakers, panels, or presentations.
Just lightly curated breakout rooms designed to help researchers across female and sexual healthcare meet, exchange ideas, and build meaningful connections across disciplines, sectors, and borders.
🎟️ £5 for non-members / £3 for Elsie members (code: ELSIERESEARCH)

💸 This event must be ticketed, as breakout rooms will be thoughtfully designed around attendees and their areas of interest. This also supports the infrastructure and labour involved in hosting. If finances are a a barrier, drop us an email [email protected]
📹 Unlike our typical webinars, this session will not be recorded. The focus is on live conversation, connection, and participation in the room.
We want to make support and connection between researchers more central to Elsie's offering...thanks for experimenting with us!! 🫡
