Kayleigh's Antarctic Expedition Q&A
Ever wondered what it’s really like down there? Come hang out with us for a relaxed, no-slides Q&A about Antarctica!
I’m Will, founder of Expeditioner.co and an ex polar guide with 60+ expeditions under my belt, and I still get a bit giddy every time a ship turns south. I’ll be joined by Kayleigh Grant, who has led group expeditions around the world since 2019 and runs daily ocean safaris in Kona, Hawaii with her husband.
It’s a casual back-and-forth rather than a formal presentation, and your questions are the whole point. We’ll cover:
What Antarctica is actually like, from the wildlife to the ice to the raw wilderness
Crossing the Drake Passage (is it as bad as everyone says?)
Life on board the ship
Citizen science on expedition, like tracking whales with Happy Whale, observing clouds for NASA, and looking at plankton under the microscope
Travelling responsibly and the environmental impact of polar tourism
A quick look at the expedition we’re putting together, right at the end, if you’re curious
Can’t make it live, or have a question you’re dying to ask? Register anyway and send it in ahead of time. We’ll get to as many as we can.
Hope to see you there!
