About Event

Please join us on Thursday, May 8th at 12p PT in person and via Zoom to meet Reem Younis, a Palestinian entrepreneur who is co-chair of Hand in Hand’s board and Dani Elazar, the CEO of Hand in Hand, speak to the JVC group (bios below). Hand in Hand is a network of integrated & bilingual schools in six regions across Israel with over 2,200 Jewish & Arab students. Despite the WAR, Hand in Hand continues to build Jewish-Arab partnership & shared society creating a beacon of hope & possibility.

Reem Younis 

A tech industry pioneer, Reem Younis was born and raised in Nazareth, Israel, and holds a B.Sc. in civil engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. Together with her husband, she co-founded Alpha Omega Ltd. in 1993, growing it from a neuroscience R&D contractor into a global leader in advanced neurosurgical technology and precision medical devices. She also co-founded Alpha-Cad Ltd., delivering cutting-edge CAD solutions for construction and industry digitalization. As a prominent figure in Israel's tech ecosystem, Reem serves on multiple nonprofit boards and collaborates with business accelerators, civil society, and government institutions to drive Arab entrepreneurship in the tech sector. She is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of innovators and transforming Nazareth into a thriving technology hub. A mother of three, she is also a Hand in Hand grandparent.

 

Dani Elazar

 Dani Elazar, who joined Hand in Hand as CEO in January 2018, brings extensive tech sector and organizational leadership experience to his role. As treasurer and finance director of BreezeCom, he supported the company's remarkable growth trajectory, helping transform it from a $500K startup into a $100M NASDAQ-listed public company. Leveraging his tech industry and leadership expertise, Dani transitioned to heading up social change organizations. He advanced innovative frameworks for shared education and communal living across different Jewish lifestyles as one of the founders and Director of Yachad-Modi'in, before serving as Vice President of Israel Programs at the Hartman Institute. Dani holds a B.A. in economics and management from Bar Ilan University and is a graduate of both the Mandel School for Educational Leadership and the Maoz Leadership Program. He lives with his family in Modi'in, central Israel.
