Big Screen Hack: AI Shorts + The Odyssey on IMAX
🎬 This is the big one.
On Friday 16 October we're taking over the IMAX at the Science Museum, right in the middle of London Film Festival week, and you're invited.
▶️ Here's what the last one looked like:
First, the premieres 🍿
All week, more than 400 creators around the world have been making films for Big Screen Hack London: shorts, pilots, micro dramas, music videos and adverts. The best of them get their first ever screening here, with the people who made them sitting a few rows from you. Most of them have never seen their own work on anything bigger than a laptop.
This is lilies by Muja Studios, the film that won last time and went on to screen in Cannes:
Then the winners 🏆
We announce them on the night. The top prize is a huge one: the winning project goes into development as a TV series with Fairground and StoryMachine. You'll be in the room when someone finds out their week of work could end up on television.
Then Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey 🌊
Stay in your seat and watch it on the IMAX, the kind of screen it was made for.
Who's in the room
Filmmakers, AI developers, buyers, distributors, commissioners, press, and a lot of people who make things for a living. Come early and say hello.
🎟️ The room holds 400 people and we can't add a single seat, so don't leave it until the week.
Friday 16 October. Doors 7pm, films from 7.30pm
Science Museum IMAX, South Kensington, London
Want your own film on that screen? Entry is free and closes at midday on Sunday 11 October: bigscreenhack.com
Films from our last hack screened at Cinéum in Cannes and have since been recognised at festivals in Montréal, Los Angeles and Warsaw. Watch them here: bigscreenhack.com/films.html
Big Screen Hack is independent. It runs during the BFI London Film Festival but isn't part of the official programme.
