If any of this lands, you know the Perfectionist within.
You can analyze it with your therapist. You can intellectualize its origins. And yet, it still runs the show.
Because understanding your patterns and being free from them are two very different things.
You’ve mastered the first. This is an invitation into the second.
For perfectionists and overachievers, titles like founder, CEO, and award-winner often become our proof of belonging. But behind the momentum, an anxious question lingers: What if I haven't done enough? What if it all falls apart?
Perfectionism was a brilliant survival strategy, one that has likely served you since childhood.
But what if the very engine that built your success is now the ceiling on your next evolution?
That's where Internal Family Systems (IFS) comes in. Developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, IFS is one of the most powerful, evidence-based frameworks in modern psychology. Its core premise is simple: every part of you, even the relentless inner critic, has a protective intention. And beneath those hardworking, exhausted parts lies your Self: undamaged, and fully equipped to lead your life with clarity, calm, and courage.
This evening is experiential. You won't come to talk about the shift. You'll come to experience it.
What you'll take away:
A deeper understanding of IFS, and a first-hand experience of it
An encounter with one or more of your perfectionist parts, and a taste of what it feels like to set them free
A sense of belonging in a community of recovering perfectionists committed to inner work
What to expect:
An introduction to IFS and perfectionism
Partner and group exercises to connect with each other and with ourselves
A guided IFS meditation and journaling practice to go inward
A group experience to set our perfectionist parts free
Light snacks and drinks will be provided. Doors close at 6:15 p.m.

No prior experience with IFS or therapy is required. There's no performance needed here, and no "right way" to participate. Just bring yourself exactly as you are.
