​Volunteer Program

​Can sorting to prep for food distribution on Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota:

​All year long Conscious Alliance is on the road at music festivals and concerts around the country hosting Art That Feeds Food Drives. Concert-goers donate non-perishable goods to the food drive and in return they receive a concert poster.

​Food donated in Colorado is brought back to the Conscious Alliance warehouse to be sorted, organized and shipped up to our Food Pantry on Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Volunteers will support these efforts by ensuring the quality of the donated goods by checking best by dates, throwing away any opened or damaged goods, categorizing goods into smaller boxes & palletizing finished boxes.

​What to Wear/Bring:

​Volunteering will take place in the Conscious Alliance warehouse & depending on the weather temperature can fluctuate so wearing layers is ideal.

• ​Wear clothes you feel comfortable getting dirty!

• ​Wear comfy, closed toed shoes

• ​Refillable Water Bottle (A tasty, cold H20 station provided)

• ​Work Gloves (optional, but handy!)

​Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
