🧭 Career Compass Session: Career Storytelling for Career Changers
About Event
This is a special-edition event for any L&D professional looking to clarify their career goals before booking a mentorship session with one of our community Mentors.
How many times over the course of our lives do we introduce ourselves to others? 🤓
Yet, too often we feel nervous introducing ourselves again and again. How can storytelling help us craft memorable stories from our lives to help us connect with others - and does it work in a professional context too? 🗺️
This one-hour online Career Compass session is designed for career changers - to support you in identifying key milestones in your professional journey thus far and in aligning them in a compelling story for your career transition. It always starts with you before we can practice connecting with others via communication so there will be some time for your individual reflection on the significant experiences, skills gained, and challenges that you have overcome in your professional life. After mapping your story, we will craft and practice your stories with each other in breakout rooms, learning from each other and from the experience of speaking out loud.🗣️
This session will require active spoken participation in the breakout rooms to get the most from the group learning. You can already bring some points or highlights from your journey to the session, and having a pen and paper will be useful to note any new ideas too.
