About Event

Mahjong Mondays are back. Six afternoons of American Mahjong on Mercer Island, with familiar faces, friendly competition and a very good reason to look forward to Mondays.

The Fall League is for women who already know the game and are ready for a season of real play. You’ll rotate tables throughout the league, play with nearly everyone in the room and watch the standings take shape as the weeks go on.

And this season, there is even more to play for: a $299 gift card to Pinch will be awarded to both our league winner and the player with the most mahjongs.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Players who already know American Mahjong and feel comfortable holding their own at the table. If you are newer to the game or would like a refresher before committing to a season, one of our lesson cohorts is the perfect place to begin. You can find upcoming lessons on our Luma page.

A NOTE ON SHOWING UP

We hope you can join us for all six afternoons. The same women, all season, watching the standings change and each other get better. That is part of what makes league play so much fun.

But life happens. If you need to miss a session, you may send a friend to play in your place, and her results will count toward your season totals. Some of our favorite players first arrived as someone’s substitute, which says quite a bit about how quickly this game pulls you in.

Come for the mahjong. Stay for the women at the table. And may the best hand win.
