About Rachel Conte: Racheal Conte is Vice President of Sample Clearance at Sony Music Publishing. She began her career at EMI Music Publishing in 2006 in the A&R department before transitioning to business affairs. In 2012, she joined the sampling team, where she steadily rose through the ranks, most recently serving as Assistant Director of Sampling Clearance. With nearly two decades of experience, she brings deep expertise in rights management and sample negotiation across a wide range of high-profile projects.
About Stephanie Caress: Stephanie Caress joined Sony Music Publishing in 2020 and is currently Senior Director of A&R Research and Analytics. She leverages data to improve A&R efforts in identifying and signing US songwriters, playing a key role in securing high-profile signings. Stephanie pursued a coding bootcamp to gain expertise in analytics, experiencing firsthand the transformative power of up-skilling. Her passion lies in empowering others to take charge of their professional growth, reflecting her commitment to fostering development and innovation within the industry.
About Rachel Freed: Rachel is the Executive Assistant to Jon Platt, Chairman and CEO of Sony Music Publishing. Before joining SMP, she spent eight years as a personal assistant to Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen at The Row. Prior to that, she worked as an assistant for Pat McGrath, Mark Burnett, and Arianna Huffington, and began her career at Creative Artists Agency.
