Village Excursion by Gramiyo
Morjecho Ferfatka | मोर्जेचो फेरफटका is Gramiyo's guided cultural excursion through Morjim, taking you beyond the beaches to explore local temples, traditional architecture, Goan food, artisan livelihoods, and community stories through real conversations with the locals.
Along the way, you'll explore historic places of cultural significance, discover distinctive architectural traditions, learn about local folklore and artistic practices, experience traditional food and baking traditions, and interact with artisans carrying forward generations of skill and craftsmanship. The experience concludes with a traditional home-style meal and conversations around local ingredients, food culture, and community life.
Every stop on Morjecho Ferfatka is run by the people of Morjim themselves. When you join, you're directly supporting the local entrepreneurs, artisans, and families who make this walk possible.
We also believe that climate-conscious travel is about how we travel. By keeping the group small, walking through the village, engaging with local livelihoods and sustainable practices, eating locally, and choosing experiences rooted in existing community practices, we aim to make travel that is lighter on the environment and more meaningful for the people.

About Gramiyo
We build tourism ecosystems inside villages, owned by the people who live in them.
Founded by Ar. Shraddha Gosavi, an architect and long-time traveller, Gramiyo grew from her 15 years of travelling and a growing interest in climate-conscious, community-led travel. As a Climate Friendly Travel Diploma student with SUNx Malta, her learning has further shaped her approach to tourism, making it more locally rooted, community-led, and useful to the places people visit.
Shraddha Gosavi (Goa, India) and Nimish Kathuria (Delhi, India) are fellow cohort members contributing to Climate Friendly Travel initiatives in India. This walk forms one part of their broader work and engagement in advancing climate-conscious and community-oriented approaches to tourism.
We work with local entrepreneurs, artisans, families, young people, and other community members to build experiences that create opportunities within the village while allowing travellers to encounter it more meaningfully.
Morjecho Ferfatka is one such experience.
