Behind the Deal: How Venture Investors Think
In a closed-door founder conversation with the Director of Investments at Alchemist Doha Muhannad Taslaq, we will hear how early-stage funding decisions are really made—beyond the deck, traction numbers, and polished elevator pitches.
Through an open conversation and Q&A, founders will get a rare look into how investors build conviction: what signals trust, what triggers concern, and what separates investable startups from those that don’t move forward.
This is a candid, interactive session designed for founders who are actively thinking about fundraising and want clarity, not just inspiration.
About the speaker:
Muhannad is a serial entrepreneur turned investor with deep roots across the MENA startup ecosystem. He co-founded and scaled a technology company from a two-person team to an 80-person organization with over $40M in committed funding, and has since supported founders across the region through accelerators, universities, and board roles. At Alchemist Doha, he brings founder and exit experience to help high-potential startups grow across MENA and emerging markets.
What to expect:
Real examples, honest perspectives, and the kind of conversation that usually happens only in the right rooms over informal coffee chats.
Who it’s for:
Early-stage and pre-seed founders who are currently fundraising or planning to raise within the next 6–12 months.
