About Event

The India Philanthropy Forum (IPF) New York City is a global convening that brings together philanthropists, diaspora leaders, social innovators, and sector experts to strengthen the India-US corridor for social impact. Now in its 13th edition, IPF New York City is where capital, ideas, and networks converge, aligning global resources with on-ground action and taking India's innovations to the world. The Forum is held on the side-lines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), at a moment when global leaders are already gathered in the city, focused on the same questions of resilience and equitable growth.

India's diaspora is nearing 34 million people, and giving to India has grown from US$1–2 billion in 2018 to US$4–5 billion in 2024. The next chapter of Indian philanthropy will not be defined by more giving alone, but by a stronger ecosystem that enables philanthropists to learn from one another, build trusted relationships, and act collectively. Convenings are critical to this infrastructure, transforming individual intent into a connected community capable of driving systemic change.

IPF New York City 2026 is designed to strengthen that community. By bringing together family philanthropists, next-generation leaders, grassroots organizations, and ecosystem builders from India and the United States, the Forum creates the relationships, shared learning, and partnerships that move philanthropy beyond individual action. It is where community-led solutions gain visibility; new collaborations take shape, and the next generation steps forward as co-builders of a stronger philanthropy ecosystem.
