Flip the Switch: The Ones Who Came Early
For a long stretch this place was a construction site with some IKEA furniture in it. People came anyway, and they had a good time.
Neighbors. The crews from up and down the block. The North Beach regulars who pulled up a folding chair while we were still working out the plumbing, and stayed till close. That's what this neighborhood does. It shows up before you've (or we've) earned it.
Nine years is a long time to ask people to keep believing you. Friday is for the ones who did. If you ate in this building before it was finished, this one's yours.
Everyone else is welcome too. Of course, you're just going to hear some stories.
