OCTOBER COMM CONVO: THE BIOPHARMA COMMUNICATIONS EXPERTISE PARADOX
We as life sciences communicators face a unique challenge: we need broad communications expertise while operating in one of the most specialized industries. Whether you come from journalism, PR agencies, patient advocacy, or regulatory affairs, success requires navigating the tension between being a strategic communications generalist and developing deep scientific knowledge. This creates an ongoing expertise paradox that shapes everything from individual career decisions to team-building strategies and hiring decisions. This month's Comm Convo explores the experiences that matter most, the gaps we're still trying to fill, and how the most successful professionals balance broad skills with specialized knowledge while rapidly upskilling themselves and their teams in an industry that demands both.
WHY ATTEND

Determine optimal team composition strategies, balancing generalists and specialists, while prioritizing capabilities that drive actual business impact
