There, she launched the publication’s beauty vertical, which generated over $1M in revenue in six months and partnered with brands including Estée Lauder, NARS, and Balmain. Known in the industry and on social media as a beauty & fragrance expert, she has also worked with brands like MERIT and Zalando. And she’s obsessed with her dog, Cam. Now, with Biche, she's building a first-of-its-kind pet grooming brand bringing beauty industry standards to our furry friends. With clean, vet-approved formulas, pet-friendly scent developed by top perfumers, and thoughtful design, Biche is making bath day feel like spa day!
Michelle Hu | Founder, Étoile
Michelle is the Founder of ÉTOILE, the beauty accessories brand redefining the way we store and use our beauty products. Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Michelle launched ÉTOILE in 2018 from her bedroom to reimagine everyday rituals as something more personal, considered and elevated. In 2019, after reaching $20,000 in monthly revenue, Michelle made the decision to leave her career in finance and focus on ÉTOILE full-time. By 2020, the business had grown into a multi-seven-figure, bootstrapped company. In late 2021, Michelle relocated to New York to expand ÉTOILE internationally, and the company has since grown into an eight-figure business, with celebrity fans including; Jasmine Tooks, Kendall Jenner, Tate McRae and Nara Smith.
