Slovak PRO Summit 2026, marking 25 years of our community
The Slovak PRO Summit began in 2023 with a clear aim: to connect Slovak professionals in North America for a focused day of collaboration, connection, and mutual support. Following successful Summits in 2023 and 2024 and a significantly expanded event in 2025, we are bringing our community together again in 2026.

Slovak PRO Summit 2026
In 2026, reflecting the ongoing growth and influence of the Slovak PRO network, we are expanding the Summit to 250 selected guests from North America and beyond. This growth shows the power of our community working together to achieve more.
Hosted in the nation’s capital, the Summit will bring together Slovak professionals and friends of Slovakia from business, science, technology, education, government, the arts, and other fields. Attendees can expect keynote speakers, focused talks, expert panels, and ample networking opportunities designed to foster meaningful discussions, new connections, and collaboration.
The main themes of this year's Summit are:
Celebrating 250 years of the United States and the contribution of Slovaks to the American story
Marking 25 years of Slovak PRO and the people who have shaped our community
Looking ahead to the next generation and the future of Slovak PRO and our global professional community.
The 2026 Summit will feature an exceptional group of Slovak and Slovak American leaders whose work spans diplomacy, business, technology, science, culture and international affairs. Among those joining us will be H.E. Ambassador Andrej Droba, speaking about Slovakia U.S. relations as the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary. We will also welcome Sally Painter of the Atlantic Council and GLOBSEC, Henry Kallan, President and Owner of the Library Hotel Collection, and Meta designer Michal Vaško. They will be joined by aerospace engineer Etienne Besett, who has worked on NASA’s Artemis program, and Diana Virgovičová, founder and CEO of Xatoms, whose work combines AI and quantum chemistry to develop new approaches to water purification.
We will also hear from leaders with decades of experience building businesses and institutions in the United States, including Dr. Cecilia Rokusek, President and CEO of the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library, Ray Day, former senior executive at Ford and IBM, Bob Lesko, Pavol Demeš, and other distinguished members of the Slovak American community. Together, these voices reflect the remarkable breadth of Slovak achievement and contribution in America today, from entrepreneurship and technology to science, diplomacy, culture and international affairs.
