​About the venue: one of the largest single family zoned plots in Berkeley, the architect and the original owner Francis Pierce Lathrop was the founder of F.P. Lathrop Construction Corp. which built many local buildings for the government and private sector, including San Francisco International Airport's north terminal, the Concord (now Chronicle) Pavilion and the Watergate Office Towers in Emeryville. Presently owned by an educational nonprofit.
