About Event

The Norwegian Games Industry × Makers Fund

Join us for a day bringing together Makers Fund and the Norwegian games industry. This is a unique opportunity to show off the diversity in games being made in Norway, as well as in our studio flora, to one of the key players investing in games.

About Makers Fund
Makers Fund is a global investment firm focused exclusively on the interactive entertainment industry. With a portfolio spanning game studios, platforms and technology companies, Makers works with founders to support the development of sustainable, globally competitive businesses in games.

The Event
Seven selected Norwegian game companies will present their studios, games and current financial situation to Makers Fund. Rather than pitching for investment, the companies will receive a VC reading: practical feedback and advice on their financing position, potential next steps, and how they can best prepare for future growth and investment. Hopefully this advice will also help inform the other participants in the audience about their own financial strategies.

The event will also feature a presentation by Walter Paleari from Makers Fund, introducing the fund, its approach to investing in games, and its perspective on the current state of the global games industry. Walter will also lead a Q&A session after the presentations.

There will be lunch provided for all participants. We wrap up the day with a drink and mingling at Angst bar.

The aim of the day is to create an open and constructive conversation between an international games-focused investor and Norwegian game developers — providing insight, connections and practical knowledge that can help strengthen the Norwegian games ecosystem.

The event is free, but there is a limited amount of tickets available, so sign up quickly. Also, due to capacity, please only register 1-2 people per company.
