​Since the inception of formalized workplace learning, L&D has been taking orders from those outside the field of L&D. We sat by while others called the shots, made the decisions, and told us how, when, why, and what type of learning interventions we would use in our organizations.

​But progress requires change. We can choose the familiar path that is safe and comfortable as order takers, or we can rise to the occasion and be the agents of change that our stakeholders, learners, and organizations need us to be - Trusted Learning Advisors.

​As we head into the next evolution of the way work is accomplished in organizations, the opportunity for L&D to demonstrate value within the organization is going to be pivotal in the ultimate success or failure in navigating digital transformation and talent development.

​The future of work belongs to L&D. Evolve or else. The choice is ours.
