Friday the 13th is meant to be the unlucky one. We’re taking it back with a little Friday wind-down dedicated to women, rest and our natural rhythms, with a little magic in the air. Pop in any time between 5:00 and 7:00 pm, on your way home from work or out to dinner. This is a small, intentional private salon, by invitation only. Seats are very limited, and if you’re reading this, it’s because we want you in the room.
WORM is the sensory-led sleep brand founded by Joanie Kirwan, mother of two. For one Friday in New York, Joanie is hosting an intimate conversation about how the whole family actually rests: the mental load, the bedtimes, the broken nights, and what we carry from the homes we grew up in into how we put our own children down.
She’ll be joined by her sister, Laura Modi, founder of Bobbie, and thanks to Laura, Babylist is opening its SoHo showroom to us for the occasion.
HOW IT WILL FLOW
Join us in our little corner of the Babylist showroom for a Friday pause between finishing work and heading home or out to dinner. Come whenever suits you, whether that is 5:15 or 6:04. There is no need to arrive on time. Think moonbeam cocktails, mocktails, cups of tea and delicious afternoon nibbles.
Around 5:30 pm, Joanie will share a little about WORM and why she believes rest is one of the most important things for our future. Her sister Laura will guide the conversation, alongside Maggie Gavilán and Emily San Jose of MOTHER EURO, who will help bring everyone into the discussion.
We’ll embrace a little Friday the 13th witchiness, with ear seeding available all evening for anyone who fancies trying it. Whenever you arrive, there’s time for another cuppa, a little more conversation and a gift bag to take home, all in the name of better rest.

This invitation is personal to you, and the room is kept to 20 women, so please RSVP only if you plan to come. Alcohol-free options will be available throughout. Ear seeding is optional; if you are pregnant or have any medical concerns, please check with your healthcare provider first. We may capture light moments from the gathering, so let us know in advance if you’d prefer not to be included.
