About Event

Hosts: citiesRISE with Templeton World Charity Foundation.

Young people today are under immense stress: from deepening inequities and polarization to climate disasters, conflicts, and technological overload–fueling a polycrisis of mental ill-health, identity loss, and loneliness. At the same time, every young person has the innate capacity to discover their wholeness, understand their shared humanity, and navigate life with meaning, belonging, and hope.

Durable progress against the world’s most pressing priorities--education, employment, mental health, climate, peace-building--requires addressing the inner dimension of social change and exploring our common humanity.

Weaving ancient and Indigenous wisdom with contemporary science on human flourishing, mental health and wellbeing, citiesRISE, Templeton World Charity Foundation and partners will share on-the ground learnings and leading-edge research on how inner development can be nurtured for collective wellbeing. In particular, we will highlight Global South-led knowledge and practice.

If you are a funder, practitioner, activist, teacher, implementer, or just fed up with the traditional silos of the development sector, then this session is for you: we will gather to pool our collective wisdom, share practical insights, and discuss a vision for the field of inner development, mental health and human flourishing.

Schedule:
11am - 11:30am: Refreshments and networking
11:30am - 1pm: Interactive session
