꧁⎝ dwelling in the wish fulfilled ༒︎ new moon yoga ritual ⎠꧂
in dharma philosophy, it can be confusing how we should relate to our desires. the buddha says that desire is the root of all suffering (or does he?), and we are meant to idolize nuns and monks because they have uprooted their desires and live plainly.
it puts us in a difficult position. desires are the way our brain communicates its needs with us. it’s also the way we shape destiny as laypeople.
what if desire was a guide post? what if it was a bodily experience that could get us closer to understanding who we truly are? this is what we’ll be working with through yoga practices sunday morning. so come dwell with us!

꧁⎝ frequently asked questions ⎠꧂
༺‿̩͙ can i still come if i just want to sit and enjoy the meditative space? — yes!
༺‿̩͙ do i need a yoga mat? — yes, please bring yours. if you don’t, i have 3 extras but you need to contact me at least 4hrs prior to this event so i can arrange that for you
༺‿̩͙ what if i can’t meditate and haven’t enjoyed yoga classes much before? — you may actually need this more than most. you may identify being queer and/or neurodivergent. if so, i teach for folks like you. still, not every teacher is for everyone so listen to your body.
༺‿̩͙ what if i’m not flexible? — this idea is capitalist & patriarchal propaganda! each and every body has the ability to receive yoga's benefits, which is why i teach in an accessible way, offering multiple options as we go along. anyway, body exercises are just a small slice of the entirety of yoga.
if you find yourself appreciative of bodhisattvism, please consider becoming a patron. patrons are a wonderful motivation for me to continue expanding this project—i am deeply thankful to each one for believing in this work :’)
