Panel Topic: Commercializing Circularity
The global market for circular economy products and services is projected to reach $1.32 trillion by 2030, driven by a shift from linear to closed-loop systems to a focus on resource efficiency and waste reduction. Yet, the global circularity rate stands at only 6.9% in 2025, a significant drop from previous years due to rising material extraction and consumption outpacing recycling capabilities. Understanding the obstacles behind this is paramount for creating a step-change in adoption and reaping its societal benefits.
We'll explore the economic and social impacts of circularity along with challenges associated with successful implementation and commercialization, to ultimately answer the key question: Why should (or shouldn't) and how can more organizations get on board with catalyzing the circular economy?
Panelists:
Mark Nugent, EVP Strategy, Chief Sustainability Officer @ TERREPOWER
Dr. Ramesh Subramoniam, Professor of Practice & Director of Undergraduate Research @ UTD
Seth Eslami, Founder & CEO @ Clarity Castle
