Logos Circle Lokoja: Orphanage Outreach
About Event
Logos Circle Lokoja has chosen to deliver essential educational tools, care packages, and daily necessities directly to children in local care homes. For our second circle meetup, we are putting our values into direct action by equipping children with the physical resources they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
🎯 What We’ll Be Doing Circle members and volunteers will facilitate the direct delivery and distribution of vital supplies, including:
📚 Educational & Learning Supplies: Distribution of textbooks, notebooks, writing materials, backpacks, and reading books to support every child's education
🧼 Health & Daily Essentials: Delivery of vital hygiene supplies, toiletries, and personal care packages tailored for growing kids
🥫 Nutritional Support: Provision of non-perishable food items, healthy snacks, and pantry staples to support the orphanage's daily operations
📦 Care Package Handout: Personal presentation of gift packs and learning kits directly to each child
🤝 Needs Assessment & Dialogue: Engaging with home managers to understand ongoing resource gaps for future circle support
🌱 Building Beyond a One-Day Visit This is more than a simple donation drop-off. Our goal is to ensure these children have the fundamental tools required to stay in school and build bright futures. By partnering directly with local care facilities, we aim to establish a recurring resource pipeline that supports the children's educational and physical needs throughout the year.
❤️ Why This Matters Access to basic supplies and learning materials is fundamental to every child's development. Through Empower Learning, Build Futures, we are helping bridge resource gaps so that no child's education or well-being is held back by a lack of basic essentials.
Join us as we support our community's young learners, one care package at a time. 🌍📚💙
