The 5 Borough Tour with Hike Clerb x Merrell Continues!
Have you looked up recently? Are you curious to know who and where those sounds are coming from? Join us on an easy 2.5 mile bird walk at Prospect Park in Brooklyn! We will spend time together enjoying the end of the summer season, reflecting on what comes and goes and cycles back around.
So pick up a pair of binos and explore the nature in our neighborhood. Our Hike Clerb guide Elizabeth will be partnering up with local birder Indigo Goodson-Fields (@indigoindaflow) to lead a walk through Prospect Park.

ABOUT HIKE CLERB
Hike Clerb is an LA-based intersectional women’s hike club and 501(c)(3) founded by Evelynn Escobar. Through guided experiences in nature Hike Clerb creates space for Black Indigenous and women of color to gather heal and reconnect outdoors.
ABOUT GUIDE ELIZABETH
Bio: Elizabeth Pérez is a mother, multidisciplinary designer and educator interested in the confluence of motherhood, world-building, and the possibilities of design. She began her journey in 2014 as a birth and postpartum doula, lactation counselor and yoga instructor. After the birth of her son, Elizabeth trained with CEA/MNY as a childbirth educator and has taught hundreds of families since then. She is a part-time faculty member at Parsons School of Design and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program in New York where she received her graduate degree. Elizabeth works as a designer and strategist. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her family.

ABOUT INDIGO GOODSON-FIELDS
Indigo Goodson-Fields is a writer, poet, facilitator and birder based in Brooklyn. Her forthcoming book, entitled Bird Song: An Anthology of Black Birders, explores community building, racial and environmental justice and the importance of birding in the lives of six Black birders. Bird Song will be published by OR Books in winter 2026
