GoodCane product
GoodCane on TikTok
Help GoodCane build a steadier flow of orders for its drinks, including the tigernut and coconut sugarcane juice pictured here.
Design and build a practical solution that helps GoodCane turn product discovery into repeat orders and more predictable demand. Social interest alone does not establish a reliable ordering routine. Your solution should help customers order again and give the business a clear view of upcoming demand. This is a proposed problem framing; validate assumptions with the business before treating them as facts.
Requirements
Build a mobile-friendly customer journey from discovery to ordering and reordering. Choose a focused approach: scheduled pre-orders, repeat-order reminders, recurring delivery requests, or a clearly justified alternative. Give the business a simple view of confirmed orders and upcoming demand. Distinguish requests from paid or confirmed orders. Collect only necessary information, make reminders opt-in, and allow cancellation. Use labelled sample data; do not invent real customers, sales, stock, prices, delivery areas or payment integrations. AI is optional and should solve a clear need.
Expected deliverables
1. A working prototype with a deployed link and source repository.
2. A short video showing a customer ordering, returning to order again, and the business reviewing demand.
3. A written explanation of the customer problem, assumptions, chosen approach and rollout plan.
4. A measurement plan covering repeat-order rate, confirmed weekly orders, cancellations and forecast accuracy. Explain how you would validate demand with a small pilot.
Submission instructions
Review GoodCane’s TikTok for brand context. State the assumptions that need confirmation with GoodCane. Submit your repository, deployed demo, video link and written explanation through this Gig’s submission form. Never connect live payments or send customer reminders without the business’s approval. Prize: GH₵1,000. Deadline and prize award terms are to be announced by CODED.
Evaluation criteria
Clarity of the demand problem; ease of ordering and reordering on mobile; usefulness of the business demand view; working end-to-end demonstration; realistic pilot and measurement plan; privacy and operational practicality. A finished customer journey matters more than the number of features.
Deadline: Saturday, 24th October 2026. 9am
