Salon: Employment Rights
Are you employed in Austria? Or are you a small company? How well do you know employment rights? What is the company policy, and is it required by law?
Are you owed your unused vacation days if you quit? What happens to your contract if the company gets sold? Can you be fired while on leave? Can your probation period be extended?
The International Salon is a monthly in-person community event series focused on practical knowledge exchange and networking for Austria's international community.
The June Salon focuses on employment rights in Austria. It starts with a presentation on what employees are legally entitled to and where company policy takes over, delivered by experts from the Chamber of Labor Vienna (AK Wien).
After the presentation, there will be time for audience questions, and afterward, everyone will network with drinks and snacks included in the ticket.
This salon is built for two groups: employed people in Austria who want a clearer picture of their rights, and HR reps from small companies and startups who want to get things right.
