Introductory Course Meetup with Inspiring Impact Talks! 🚀

​We are excited to invite you to a joint meetup for all current Effective Altruism introductory course participants. This event is designed to get to know each other, bridge the gap between learning and action and become inspired!

​We’ll be joined by inspiring impact makers who will share their journeys of using EA frameworks to make a significant global difference, and what they learned in doing this. Beyond the short talks, this is a fantastic chance to connect with like-minded professionals, share ideas, and build a stronger community of effective altruists in the Netherlands.

​We will make sure that there are snacks but this will not be a full meal.

• ​18:00 — Intro talk by the organisers

• ​18:15 — Guest Speaker: Ivy van Regteren Altena, co-founder of NOVAH, an NGO working on radio campaigns to prevent domestic violence (incubated by AIM)

• ​18:35 — Guest Speaker: Roy Hagemann, CEO of SteadRise, An organization working on AI safety field building.

• ​18:55 — Guest Speaker: James Herbert, Co-Director of Effective Altruism Netherlands, on building EA as a movement.

• ​19:25 — Conversation in a small group on topic of choice:

  • ​What problem should I be working on?

  • ​What is the best next step for me to make an impact?

  • ​What are my doubts about Effective Altruism?

  • ​What charity should I donate to?
