​It’s summer in New York City and that means Community Board appointments have been made! Abundance New York is hosting an event for members to get together and share best practices on how to maximize your impact as a member of your local community board.

​Whether you're joining your board for the first time or returning for another term, there's a real difference between showing up to your board meetings and actually moving things forward. In the past, we’ve helped members apply for their board but the feedback we’ve gotten is that folks would also like more resources to help them once they get appointed. This is our answer!

​During the event, we'll hear from experienced CB members across the city on how to navigate the process, build the relationships that matter, and push forward the issues you care about. There will also be ample time to mingle and meet like-minded community board members across the city. Come ready to connect, learn, and leave with the tools to make your corner of New York City a little better.
