Across Sub-Saharan Africa, women- and girls’-rights organizations are leading transformative change, from advancing economic justice and digital inclusion to addressing gender-based violence and strengthening community systems. Yet, less than 1% of global gender equality funding reaches grassroots organisations.
At the same time, recent aid cuts have intensified pressure on these movements, threatening critical services and long-term impact.

Resourcing Rights is a curated gathering that brings together African women-led organizations, funders, and allies to reimagine how we resource gender justice.

This is not a traditional conference. It is a space for:
- Honest conversations on power and partnership
- Real stories from the frontlines of feminist movements
- Meaningful connection between funders and organisations
- A shift from transactional funding to long-term, trust-based collaboration

The event will feature Swiss-based funders alongside women leaders serving African communities, creating a dynamic exchange of perspectives grounded in both resource mobilization and lived experience.

What to Expect:
- Keynote and reflections Storytelling circle with women leaders and funders Fireside dialogue on funding realities and opportunities Interactive connection spaces Cocktail and cultural exchange

Who Should Attend
- Women-led organisations advancing gender justice
- Philanthropic institutions
- Funders Gender equality advocates, activists, and partners

Hosted by Her Initiative, in partnership with Giving Women, Fundraising Training Ltd, a.Community and WiLDAF Tanzania.
