About Event

📅 Date: August 20, 2026 🕕 Time: 6:00 PM 📍 Cryopoint Hamburg City, Kaiser-Wilhelm-Straße 9, 20355 Hamburg (Map) 🎟️ Price: Free entry

Join Carlotta Bühe for an evening on gut health and longevity in Hamburg. Together with Longevity Cities Hamburg, we'll look at what happens to the gut as we age and what today's science tells us about supporting healthy aging.

What is this about?

Your gut changes throughout life. The diversity of your microbiome (the community of bacteria and other microbes living in your digestive system) often declines with age, while hormonal changes can shape how your gut functions and how you feel. New research suggests these changes are closely connected to long-term health, especially for women during midlife.

In this talk, Carlotta Bühe brings together the latest evidence on the aging gut in a practical and accessible way. You'll leave with a clearer understanding of what the science says today, where the evidence is still evolving and which everyday habits may help support a healthier gut over time.

What can you expect?

  • Learn how the gut changes with age and why those changes matter for healthy aging.

  • Understand the connection between hormones, the microbiome and the estrobolome (a group of gut bacteria involved in estrogen metabolism).

  • Discover why women over 40 may benefit particularly from paying attention to gut health.

  • Explore what microbiome diversity tells us and why researchers consider it one marker associated with longevity.

  • Bring your questions for an open Q&A after the talk.
