🦥 Connection activities and guided conversation prompts with Jessie & Mei
🎁 $40 worth of goodies from our lovely event sponsors (yes, you get to take them home! 👀)
Give yourself a much needed self-care afternoon to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and have conversations that go a little deeper.
If you've been feeling too online, too "on" or just too in your head lately, come spend an afternoon slowing things down with us.
We'll start in the park with soft handpan music, where you'll be guided through a grounding visualization exercise, journaling, and intuitive drawing to help you come back o yourself and notice what's been coming up for you.
Then, we'll do head over to a hidden café gem nearby. Jessie & Mei from Slow Networking 🦥 will then guide you through the connection part of our afternoon together.
They've been hosting small, intentional networking events in Toronto for over a year and I love how much thought they put into helping people move beyond small talk.
Instead of leaving you to figure out who to talk to or what to say, they'll guide us through planned activities and conversation prompts so you can focus on actually getting to know the people around you.
People at their events have shared that these prompts have gotten them talking about things they never expected to share or helped a conversation go somewhere much deeper and more interesting than the usual "so what do you do?"
What to bring: A journal and/or some loose paper, something to draw with, comfortable layers, and a picnic blanket or something to lay on the ground to sit on.
What You'll Walk Away With...
→ Discover a café you probably didn't know existed
→ A safe and cozy space to slow down and reconnect with yourself
→ Reflections and a drawing you can come back to
→ Conversations that go beyond the usual small talk
→ A chance to genuinely get to know a few new people
→ A ~$40 worth of goodie bag from our brand sponsors
→ Walk away feeling lighter, more grounded, and with a few new connections you'll actually want to keep in touch with
Meet Your Host
Heyyy! We’re Jessie and Mei from JaM with Confidence, Inc., former teachers turned entrepreneurs.
We’ve often felt like the world rewards those who speak the loudest and stand out the most. As an introvert (Mei) & ambivert (Jessie), we wanted to create spaces where quieter voices can be seen and heard too, and where the strengths, ideas and depth that often stay hidden have a chance to come forward. Right now, we’re exploring how we can best support introverts through something we deeply value: genuine connection, whether in business or in life.
Slow Networking 🦥 was created by Jessie & Mei as a way for introverts to have deeper, genuine connections. Traditional networking can feel transactional, with quick pitches, exchanged contacts and conversations that rarely grow into anything meaningful. Inspired by slow travel, they wanted to slow things down and focus on connecting as humans first. Instead of meeting as many people as possible, it’s about giving a few connections the time and space to grow into a friendship, collaboration, future client, or simply a great conversation. And this special collaboration is a perfect example of where that kind of connection can lead.

Hi, I'm Michelle 👋🏻
Former B2B SaaS marketer turned Intuitive Business Strategist and a connector, creator, and curator at heart.
The Toronto Café Walk series grew out of my Toronto café guide and a simple belief that the right environment changes how you think, who you meet, and how you show up for a community.
This is my way of bringing people into spaces worth knowing about and into each other's orbits. 😊
Toronto Café Walk is a cozy social series where a small group of founders, solopreneurs, and creatives explore hand-picked café spots across different neighbourhoods, slow down a little, and meet each other in a way that actually feels human.
