About Event

AI can generate almost anything in seconds; a report, pitch, email, executive summary.

But there's a question that often gets skipped in the rush to build: how do you know when it's wrong?

The more capable AI systems get, the more confident their output sounds. And that confidence is the problem. A made-up statistic reads as cleanly as a real one. An assumption that quietly leaves people out looks just as authoritative as one that doesn't. So where does real trust come from, and how do you catch the moment you're about to trust something you shouldn't?

In this hands-on Tooling Tuesday session, we'll generate a real piece of AI content live, then flip the room from creators to catchers, hunting for the invented number or the claim that doesn't hold up. You'll walk away with three things: a paste-in evaluator that's yours to keep, a repeatable habit for reviewing AI work, and a sharpened instinct for when to ship and when to pause.

If we're building AI that acts on our behalf, learning to check its work is no longer optional.

Julie Nikolaieff is an AI transformation consultant and educator, founder of Being Ready, and an Instructor on AI Agents with Sierra College Community Education. She brings an unusual mix: an MIT Applied Agentic AI credential, an AI safety certification through BlueDot Impact's AGI Strategy program, and 18+ years leading transformational change at organizations including NASA Ames and Wells Fargo, where she guided change across tens of thousands of employees. Her focus sits past the demo. Not "can AI do this," but "can you trust what it just gave you?"
