Wellness Wednesday: Galaxy Journaling: "Finding Perspective in an Accelerated World" with Deja White
We’re living and leading in a moment in time that constantly asks us to move faster: make the decision, respond to the message, adopt the new tool, keep up with what’s changing, and move on to what’s next. But when we’re always moving, we don’t always create enough space to notice what our own experiences have been showing us.
In this experiential session, we’ll step away from our screens and begin completely analog, using Galaxy Journaling to pause, look back, and gain perspective. Only after doing our own sensemaking will we bring AI into the process, exploring ways it can help us ask deeper questions, challenge our initial interpretations, and continue our reflection without replacing our own thinking.
Participants will leave with a personal constellation they created, new insights from their own experiences, and a reflection practice they can return to when they need to pause, zoom out, and see things differently.
Déja White is a speaker, builder, and opportunity researcher whose work explores how people recognize possibility, and what helps them act on it. Across a career spanning technology, media, education, and workforce development, she has worked with and built experiences for organizations including Uber, Warner Bros. Discovery, Google Women Techmakers, Girls Who Code, Morning Brew, and ACT.
Déja is the founder of Breakroom Buddha, a body of work that has reached more than 10,000 professionals through career development, technology, learning experiences, and community. Today, her work brings together human agency, emerging technology, systems thinking, and self-actualization to explore a bigger question: How do we help people see more possibilities for themselves, and build the agency to pursue them?
