AI in Education: Building Products, Tools & Learning Experiences in the AI Era

For builders, product people, founders, and practitioners exploring how AI is reshaping education.

This event will be held fully in English 🇬🇧

About the Event

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly reshaping education - not only through new tools, but through deeper questions about how we design learning experiences, build useful products, and create real value for learners, educators, and organizations.

This edition of The AI Collective Poland: AI in Education is designed for builders, product people, founders, and practitioners working at the intersection of education, technology, and AI. Rather than focusing on theory alone, we’ll explore what it actually takes to build products and solutions that matter in today’s fast-changing learning landscape.

Together with founders, product leaders, and education innovators, we will look at AI in education from two complementary angles. First, we’ll hear a grounded founder perspective on building an educational product in the AI era - from early assumptions and real product decisions to what actually creates value in practice, where things don’t work as expected, and how the product vision evolves over time. Then, we’ll move into a broader product and market lens, exploring how AI tools are being applied across learning and knowledge workflows, how product teams think about adoption in real organizations, and what challenges companies face when designing AI-enabled experiences in education and beyond.

The evening will culminate in a practical panel discussion focused on the realities of building tools, products, and projects for education today. Together, we’ll unpack the biggest challenges facing EdTech and learning-focused innovation: what users actually need, where AI helps versus where it creates noise, how teams validate meaningful use cases, and what it takes to move from impressive demos to products that truly improve learning outcomes.

Join us for an evening of practical insights, honest product lessons, and hands-on discussion - followed by networking with founders, educators, product builders, and AI practitioners shaping the future of learning in Poland and beyond.

Arrival & check-in

18:00 – Opening Remarks 🎤 (English 🇬🇧)

Welcome by The AI Collective Poland & Box

18:10 – Keynote – Michał Filipek Co-Founder, Source of Wisdom & EduAI Foundation 🤖 (English 🇬🇧)

From AI Features to Real Learning Value: Building Educational Products That Actually Work

What does it really mean to build an educational product in the AI era?
In this keynote, Michał Filipek will share a hands-on product perspective on designing educational solutions in a rapidly changing landscape - from real product decisions and early assumptions to what worked, what didn’t, and what had to be rethought along the way.

Drawing from his experience building in EdTech, Michał will explore where AI is already creating meaningful value today — including areas such as creator support and personalization — and where early expectations around AI in education proved too simplistic or ineffective. He will also outline the next direction: moving beyond content generation toward more interactive, engaging, and experience-driven models of learning.

18:40 – Keynote – Jakub Piech Product Manager, Box 🧠 (English 🇬🇧)

AI, Product Design & the Future of Learning: What EdTech Can Learn from B2B SaaS

As AI becomes embedded across modern software products, what can the education sector learn from how leading product teams are building, testing, and deploying AI in practice?

In this keynote, Jakub Piech will share a product leader’s perspective from Box on how AI is being integrated into real-world SaaS products, what patterns are emerging across the market, and which challenges product teams face when moving from experimentation to actual user value. Using examples from enterprise product development and the broader AI tooling landscape, he will explore what these lessons mean for education, learning tools, and the future of EdTech.

This session will cover how AI changes product discovery, where adoption friction appears, how user expectations are shifting, and why building useful AI products today requires much more than simply adding “AI features” to existing workflows.

19:10 – Panel Discussion (by EdTech Dots) 🗣️ (English 🇬🇧)

Building for Learning in the AI Era: What Actually Matters Now?

AI has made it easier than ever to generate content, automate workflows, and prototype educational ideas - but building truly valuable learning products remains hard.

In this discussion, we will explore the practical challenges of designing tools and experiences that genuinely improve learning outcomes. What makes an educational product actually useful today? Where are founders and product teams still getting it wrong? How should we think about AI-native product design in education? And what does the current education and EdTech ecosystem really need - more tools, better experiences, or entirely new models?

Expect a grounded, hands-on conversation at the intersection of product thinking, education, user behavior, and real-world implementation.
