Belize National Sport Summit 2026
Belize's First National Sports Summit 2026
Building Belize Through Sport
A national working summit to move Belize from separate efforts toward shared standards, clear priorities and measurable action across sport.
Over two days, participants will convene across every district and sector, examine the current state of Belizean sport, design a coordinated national direction, and mobilize the partnerships and investment to carry it forward.
Eight priorities: governance & accountability · youth, school & community sport · athlete welfare & safeguarding · coaching & high performance · facilities & access · health & active living · financing & partnerships · sports tourism.
Participants: athletes, coaches and officials, federations and clubs, educators, municipalities, youth and community organizations, health professionals, tourism and private-sector partners, sponsors, diaspora representatives, policymakers, and regional sports leaders.
Expected Outcomes: a Summit Declaration, a draft Sports Action Agenda 2026–2031, practical recommendations, a partnership and investment pipeline, and a follow-through mechanism.
