Inclusive Skaters Tuesday Night
We’re excited to share that Bee Abled is teaming up with Discovery Green once again for a special Inclusive Skaters Night on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 5 PM to 8 PM at Discovery Green (1500 McKinney St, Houston, TX 77010).
This event creates a welcoming, sensory‑friendly environment for skaters with physical or developmental disabilities to enjoy the rink with fewer crowds and plenty of support. Skaters with a disability skate for free, and manual wheelchairs are welcome on the ice. (Power chairs are not permitted.)
Skate guardians and family members will need to purchase a ticket—$19.50 per person.
Bee Abled will cover the skating fee for any of its members (anyone who has filled out a Bee Abled membership form). Please make sure you wear your Bee Abled gear.
If you’d like to skate, please RSVP by no later than Saturday, January 10th through Luma.
VOLUNTEERS
We need volunteers on the ice to help make this night a success. If you’re available, please RSVP.
We’ll also have our Bee Abled tent set up and we will be selling merchandise.
This is a family‑friendly event, so feel free to bring loved ones, even if you’re not skating.
SNACKS
The Grove Market and Park Provisions will offer hamburgers, hotdogs, tacos, and snacks.
If you have special dietary needs, you’re welcome to bring your own food from home.
Note: Outside food is not permitted during regular open hours.
SAFETY
Emergency medical personnel will be on site.
You’re encouraged to bring your own helmet, if needed.
NOISE
Enjoy kid‑friendly and autism‑friendly music played at a lower volume for sensitive listeners.
PARKING
Accessible parking is available in the parking garage.
Metered parking is free for vehicles with valid disability plates or placards (time limits apply).
Skater & Metro Lift drop‑off is recommended at McKinney & Crawford.
We look forward to having you join us for a fun and inclusive night on the ice. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
