About This Event
AJC’s weekly Japanese–English language exchange, ぺらぺらナイト, is a relaxed and welcoming space for language learners in Austin.
This is not a formal class or structured lesson. Instead, we focus on natural conversations and comfortable language practice in a supportive environment.
All Japanese and English levels are welcome — from complete beginners to native speakers. You’re free to speak as much as you like, or simply listen and enjoy the atmosphere.
Our first official meetup will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and the theme will be Self-Introduction.
Who This Event Is For
Everyone is welcome! This language exchange may be especially enjoyable for those who:
Want to practice Japanese or English in a casual setting
Are interested in Japanese, American, Texas, Austin, or other cultures
Prefer relaxed conversation over formal study
Feel nervous speaking but would like a safe place to listen and learn
What You Can Expect
A friendly and comfortable learning environment
Conversations at your own pace
Encouragement and patience from fellow learners
Cultural exchange and shared language-learning experiences
There is no pressure to speak if you’re not ready.
If speaking feels difficult, you are welcome to politely listen and observe.
Everyone is learning at their own pace.

Schedule (Tentative)
Every Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM
6:00–6:30 PM: English conversation
6:30–7:00 PM: Japanese conversation
7:00–8:00 PM: Free conversation (English or Japanese)
※ You’re welcome to join late or leave early.
One More Thing
Many participants will be attending for the first time.
Please feel free to come as you are — no preparation needed.
While this is a FREE event, we kindly ask attendees to support our venue by ordering food or a drink during the meetup. Your support helps us continue offering community events like this.
Notes
Tickets: Advance ticket registration is required due to venue capacity. Participants who attend without registration may be asked for their email addresses. Your personal information is handled under the AJC Privacy Policy.
Cancellations: Please cancel through the event page if your plans change.
Photography: Photos may be taken during the event and used on AJC’s website or social media. If you do not wish to appear in photos, please inform AJC staff in advance.
Safety: AJC is not responsible for theft, injuries, or other incidents that occur during the event.
No Solicitation: Unauthorized sales or solicitation are not allowed. Anyone disrupting the safe and welcoming environment may be asked to leave or restricted from future events.

イベントについて
AJCランゲージエクスチェンジ 「ぺらぺらナイト」 は、オースティンで日本語や英語を学ぶ皆さんのための、リラックスした温かい交流の場です。
正式な授業やレッスンではなく、サポートし合える環境の中で、自然な会話と心地よい言語練習を楽しむことを目的としています。日本語・英語ともに、初心者からネイティブまで、すべてのレベルの方を歓迎します。たくさん話しても、聞くだけでも大丈夫。自分のペースでご参加ください。
初回のぺらぺらナイトは
3月3日（火）午後6:00〜8:00 に開催します。
テーマは 「自己紹介」 です。

スケジュール（予定）
毎週火曜日 午後6時から8時
6:00–6:30 PM 英語での会話
6:30–7:00 PM 日本語での会話
7:00–8:00 PM 自由会話（英語・日本語どちらでも）
※途中参加・途中退席も可能です。

初参加の方も多くいらっしゃいます。準備は不要ですので、どうぞ気軽にお越しください。
本イベントは参加無料ですが、会場へのご協力として、ミートアップ中にフードまたはドリンクのご注文をお願いいたします。皆さまのご支援が、このようなコミュニティイベントの継続につながります。

キャンセル：予定が変更になった場合は、イベントページからキャンセル手続きをお願いします。
