Quantum Mysteries
Quantum Mysteries
Small things are notoriously difficult to understand, because they follow the laws of quantum mechanics. Books and courses often don't help building a satisfactory mental picture of what happens with many quantum objects and situations (for instance, about Schrödinger's cat, or the spooky action at distance, or the games Alice & Bob play with qubits, or how quantum computers work or don't work). I will try to explain some concepts and ideas that can somehow help us feel at peace with much of the weirdness and specifically single out what are the things we know we don't know. An advanced mathematical background is not needed. If you are not too afraid of matrices or complex numbers, it should be fine.
