About Event

Trade your usual weekend plans for something more fun! Come paint your own ceramic coupe glass with us in the park, no art skills required, just an open mind and a willingness to chat with strangers who might become friends.

This is a relaxed, social crafting hangout built for easy conversation and connection first, painting second. It's not a step-by-step workshop, we'll have a variety of paints and supplies available, and you're free to let your creativity run wild and design your glass however you like.

Think: blanket on the grass, paintbrush in hand, good conversation flowing freely while you make something one-of-a-kind that you'll actually use.

β€‹βœ¨ Your Ticket Includes

  • A ceramic coupe glass to design and paint however you like

  • All painting supplies, brushes, and everything you need to create

  • Snacks to keep you fueled while you paint

  • A relaxed, social atmosphere designed for meeting new people

Things to Know

  • Please arrive on time so you have enough time to complete your painting before the session wraps up

  • Don't forget a blanket or something to sit on, we'll be set up on the grass

  • No experience needed at all, everything is beginner-friendly

  • Your glass will need to be fired after the event to make it food safe, so you won't take it home same day. More on that below

What to Expect

A host will be there to greet you and hand out all the supplies you'll need, including your coupe glass and paints. From there, you'll have time to paint at your own pace on your blanket in the park, with snacks on hand to keep you going. The vibe is casual and social, so you can move around, chat, and connect with others while you craft.

Once you're done painting, we'll collect your glass and Chicago Clay Club team will have it fired. This step is what makes it food and drink safe for everyday use. You'll be able to pick up your finished glass 1-2 weeks after the event.
