About Event
In this meeting of the Agora, I will demonstrate how we work with koans as an imaginal practice in Aletheia.
Nanquan’s “Ordinary Mind” (Chinese) / Nansen's "Ordinary Mind" (Japanese)
Zhaozhou asked Nanquan (Chinese) / Joshu asked Nansen (Japanese),
“What is the Way?”
Nanquan said,
“Ordinary mind is the Way.”
Zhaozhou asked,
“Should I direct myself toward it?”
Nanquan said,
“If you try to turn toward it, you go against it.”
Join us to explore the rest of the koan.
