All-Ivy LA Backgammon Night 11/11 with VBC

Curious about backgammon but never played before? Want to play but can't find people to play with? Trying to kick a vicious gambling habit with something less ruinous? Or just looking for a new casual hang? Well do we have something for you :)
Now in its sixth year, Venice Backgammon Club (VBC) is a casual, social, beginners-first club with a mission to get you out of the house so you can hang out with cool cats over a backgammon board.
VBC meets weekly at Westside venues. We really like their Statement of Values:
• Be welcoming.
• Play with good sportsmanship.
• Represent the club well.
• Keep it social.
Although play is normally reserved for members, VBC management has been kind enough to allocate 5 free guest spots for All-Ivy LA for 11/11 at Wurstküche Venice. Please understand that if you sign up, you are 100% committing to showing up.
VBC provides the location, high-quality boards, and friendly companionship of all age groups (22-65) and playing ability (noob to pro). You provide your enthusiastic presence. If you don't know how to play, no worries — someone will be happy to teach you. As I tell people: the game takes 10min to learn, a lifetime to obsess over :)

About All-Ivy LA: We curate social events for graduates of Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Brown, Penn, MIT, Stanford, Caltech, Oxford, Cambridge and other esteemed schools who live in the Greater LA area. All doctorates and most advanced degrees generally welcome.
